BravoBug Software announces EasyBatch 1.2 for Mac OS X

December 8th, 2008

Wilsonville, Oregon – BravoBug Software today announces the release of EasyBatch v1.2, a simple but powerful batch image processor for Mac OS X. EasyBatch provides a powerful set of image processing tools, all packed into an intuitive and easy-to-use interface that make manipulating large folders of images quick and easy. EasyBatch provides DPI-independent scaling, allowing you to resize images proportionately or to a fixed size, measured in pixels or inches, with full control of scaling interpolation (pixel/edge smoothing).

EasyBatch also provides fast and easy rotation for landscape and portrait photos. A brand new color filter in version 1.2 allows you to adjust the saturation, brightness, and contrast of all your images, leveraging Apple’s CoreImage and CoreFilter technologies under the hood.

Watermarking is also available in EasyBatch, giving you the ability to quickly stamp large folders of photos with any watermark image of your choice – and EasyBatch provides full control over the edge alignment and watermark placement.

Once your images have been processed, EasyBatch can save out in 4 of the most common image formats: JPEG, TIFF, PNG, and standard bitmap format. With EasyBatch you can control all of the options for your output files: adjust JPEG compression, use LZW or packits TIFF’s, and even preserve EXIF data for photos taken with digital cameras.

EasyBatch also provides automatic renaming options to make sorting and organizing your images a snap, and when your batch is done, it can even move your original photos to the trash automatically to make sure your Mac stays clutter-free.

The new 1.2 release of EasyBatch features over a dozen improvements, including a brand new interface, saturation and contrast filters, automatic folder creation, more free watermarks, enhanced error checking, and several bug fixes.

Pricing and Availability:
EasyBatch is Shareware (currently discounted to $18 USD for a Single User license key) and is available as a free download from BravoBug Software (.ZIP, 650k).

Boinx Software releases BoinxTV 1.1

December 8th, 2008

Munich, Germany – Boinx Software today introduced BoinxTV 1.1, an update to its live-video production software that turns a Mac into a TV studio.* BoinxTV 1.1 improves the stability and is strongly recommended for all BoinxTV users. BoinxTV 1.1 comes with additional layers and a new template for a shopping channel. The previous demo period has been extended from 5 to 30 days, giving users more time to explore all the fascinating possibilities of BoinxTV to create great looking shows.

“Rock solid stability is most critical for any BoinxTV user, so we have spent the time since the launch of the application three weeks ago improving the memory management and ironing out the few glitches customers experienced in 1.0,” says Oliver Breidenbach, CEO of Boinx Software. “We also realized that people needed more time to properly evaluate BoinxTV. They should have the chance to prepare, produce and distribute a real show made with BoinxTV before purchasing. So we have extended the free trial period to 30 days.”

“One of the greatest features of BoinxTV is that it can be extensively customized to your needs,” says Florian Albrecht, head of product marketing of Boinx Software. “BoinxTV now ships with nearly 40 different layers that can be combined, and every single one can be customized to give your show your own look. But that’s not all – the extensible architecture of BoinxTV allows you to design your own layers using Quartz Composer from Apple.”

BoinxTV version 1.1 introduces new layers: Use “Sidebar Ad” to slide, wipe or fade in an advertisement from an edge of the screen. “Sparkling Text” animates a line of text using an impressive particle animation. Many of the existing layers were improved. “Static Text” for example now features transitions. A new example template called “MyShop” showcases some of the new features introduced in a shopping channel environment.

BoinxTV is a revolutionary tool for creating live-to-air, live-to-tape and live-on-stage video, jointly developed by Boinx Software and TheCodingMonkeys. Create stunning studio shows, podcasts, sports events, concerts, interviews, sermons, lectures, seminars and more using your Mac and multiple cameras. No Thirst Software Releases MoneyWell 1.4 with Direct Connect Banking

December 8th, 2008

The Woodlands, Texas – No Thirst Software LLC today introduced MoneyWell 1.4, a free upgrade to its popular personal finance software package that utilizes powerful envelope budgeting tools layered on top of its full-featured check register system wrapped up in a non-threatening, single-window interface.

MoneyWell 1.4 has over 50 new enhancements and gives users the top features they have been asking for, including a one-button solution to download transactions from hundreds of financial institutions and a redesigned interface that’s cleaner, more compact, and more informative. International users are especially excited about being able to import CSV files with custom field mapping. Other requested additions are the ability to attach document or email receipts to any transaction, user-defined bucket ordering, a new spending plan report, new report grouping options, recurring transfer transactions, better duplicate merging, more keyboard shortcuts, and improved performance.

“The features added are serious,” said Art Kauffman, beta tester, “I think they’re way more than a point release. The new icons… wow. [They] give a professional look and polish that should probably warrant a 2.0 but I’m loving a free upgrade!”

“Our goal with MoneyWell 1.4 was to give people the tools they need to be in control of their own personal budget and finances,” said Kevin Hoctor, No Thirst Software President, “Especially in today’s economy, our customers want to proactively manage their spending.”

“I have always used Quicken and just moved over to a Mac this past year,” said Adam Hill, beta tester, “I’ve always been frustrated by the ‘spend now and review later’ budgeting approach of Quicken. The approach that you take with MoneyWell immediately made sense to me and it has made having money fun rather than frustrating. I find it liberating to have a spending plan that allows my wife and I to allocate money to those things we want to do with money left after all of our savings and investment accounts are funded. Rather than being restricted by our budget, we are able to enjoy both the comfort of saving and the fun of spending. Thank you for creating a program that has helped us to find that balance.”

First-time users now have the option to play with a sample document where they can try out all the MoneyWell features and when they are ready to start their own document, MoneyWell has a new guide that walks them through adding buckets and accounts. For direct connections, it’s a simple two-step process: the user picks their financial institution from a list, enters their username and password, and MoneyWell accesses your available accounts, creates them, downloads all available transactions, and calculates a starting balance transaction for each account.

This new release of MoneyWell has expanded import options for users who don’t have the luxury of direct-connect banking. The first-class QIF import has been improved with user-defined custom date format functionality and OFX imports have better duplicate matching. The new delimited file import feature lets users read data with several different delimiter types, assign fields, and adjust other options all while previewing the results before starting the import.

Minimum Requirements:
* Mac OS X Version 10.4 Tiger or higher
* Universal Binary for PowerPC and Intel
* 8.4 MB Hard Drive space

Pricing and Availability:
MoneyWell 1.4 is a free upgrade for all 1.x users and is still available to new users at the introductory price of $39.99 (USD) through the end of 2008 on the No Thirst Software website. Users may download a free trial that is limited to 200 transactions and try MoneyWell before buying. Free with every purchase of MoneyWell is second-to-none support, online video tutorials, informative articles, and a responsive user forum.
