Avernum 6 Just Released – Fantasy Role-Playing Game for the Macintosh

November 30th, 2009

Seattle, Washington – Spiderweb Software, Inc. announced today the release of Avernum 6 for the Macintosh, the final game in the epic, award-winning Avernum series. Avernum 6 is a fantasy role-playing game set in the world of Avernum, an enormous series of caves far below the surface of the world. Travel into the strange subterranean land of Avernum, full of dungeons, labyrinths, and constant warfare.

Avernum is a world underground. It is a nation of people living in an enormous warren of tunnels and caverns, far below the surface of the world. Once a prison colony for rebels and thugs, it is now a wild frontier, full of adventurous souls looking for wealth, fame, and magical power.

And then the Blight came. Almost overnight, the mushrooms Avernum needed to feed itself withered and died. Then the denizens of the low tunnels, the savage, reptilian Slithzerikai, emerged. Sensing weakness, they struck, destroying much of a weakened Avernum and creating waves of hungry, desperate refugees.

This final set of disasters threatens to destroy your homeland in a spasm of famine and warfare. Only you can help your people to get to safety before everything falls apart.

Avernum 6 is the final game in the popular and long-running Avernum series. Explore a gigantic world, with a fascinating storyline, hundreds of quests, multitudes of side dungeons, and many hours of adventure. The game features clever enemies and dozens of interesting scripted encounters. Learn over 50 spells and battle disciplines. Hunt for hundreds of magical items or craft your own powerful artifacts.

November 30th, 2009

Albuquerque, NM / Teaneck, NJ, USA – Renowned Digital Artist and iPhone Developer are pleased to announce their app, “iCreated” included in ART News Magazine’s Art Talk section discussion of iPhone art in the December ‘09 issue. The iCreated Gallery has spent the last six months exhibiting some of the finest work being done today by an international group of artists dedicated to making art on their iPhones.

It now contains over 150 works of art, and it’s creators are ecstatic that a mainstream art Publication like ART News has taken notice. Stating that the app “acts as an online gallery for iPhone art”, the article quotes Leibowitz talking about art submissions to the iCreated gallery, “You see photographers, painters, image manipulators from all over the world”.

Since the App Store opened in 2008, new tools for creating graphics and altering photos began to appear and artists everywhere quickly began to utilize what is essentially a new computing platform. Currently, there are close to 50 iPhone artist’s work showcased in iCreated.

The first 18 images that appear when the app opens are contributions by some of the world’s most talented iPhone Artists and some of their most memorable Art. They are: Xoan Baltar, (Ourence, Spain), Kevin Barba, (Chicago,USA), Tony Cece, (Virginia, USA), Russ Croop, (Colorado, USA). Miguel Girard, (NYC, USA), Dan Hoffman, (New Jersey, USA), Julia Kay, (San Francisco,USA), Emmanuel Martinez, (Manila, Philippines), Travis Morgan, (Illinois, USA), Cedric Philippe (Nut), (Saint Claude ,France), Jose Andres Guijarro Ponce (La legra negra), (Cuenca,Spain), Barbara Ripepi, (Milan, Italy), Sean Sheridan, (NYC,USA), Patricio Villarroel,(Paris, France), and Mike Wallis, (Bedford, United Kingdom).

The next 9 images are new additions by co-creator David Scott Leibowitz, and the original 18 iPhone artworks from version 1.0

The iCreated Gallery button reveals a constantly evolving on-line gallery of iPhone Art, uploaded from around the world, and selected for their beauty, and uniqueness. The Gallery provides a space for this evolving art medium to flourish, as established and aspiring Artist’s use this app as a powerful promotional tool. Currently included in the Gallery are artworks by equally gifted international iPhone artists, Alexander Acevedo, (Florida, USA), Mauro Ballabeni, (Bologna, Italy),Corliss Blakely, (Vermount, USA), Willie Cole, (Connecticut, USA), Matt Connors, (New Jersey, USA), Robert Dawson, (California, USA), Christine Finkelson, (NYC, USA),Rita Flores, (New Jersey, USA), Helene Goldberg, (California, USA), Jens Herrmann, (Herborn, Germany), Fernando Lopez del Hierro, (Madrid, Spain), Simone Kirschning, (Germany), Kara Jansson Kovacev , (New York), Rino Larsen, (Norway), Yan Min Lee, (Taichung, Taiwan), Joey Livingston, (Florida, USA), Deborah McMillion, (Arizona, USA), Susan Murtaugh, (Wisconsin, USA), Stephane Noselli, (Nice, France), Amy Nelp, (Colorado, USA), Benjamin Rabe, (Hamburg, Germany), Mia Robinson, (Washington, DC, USA), Matthew Watkins, (Canada and Italy), and miguelb2000 (Dallas, USA)

“You’ve heard the phrase, There’s an app for that,” said Mr. Stone, “Well, now there’s an app to showcase art created exclusively on the iPhone, transforming this already revolutionary device into both an artist’s studio and exhibition space.”

Each piece of art in this virtual gallery is linked to the apps that were used to create it, giving artists and art lovers the tools to create and deliver their own art to iCreated. The exhibited work in the gallery is also linked to the contributing artist’s web site or other personal web space, so that iPhone users can communicate with the artist and discover more of that artist’s creations.

“Since people first started painting on cave walls,” says Mr. Leibowitz, “art has served our basic need to express ourselves and share our experience with others. iCreated brings that impulse into the 21st century.”

David Scott Leibowitz is a pioneer in the developing medium of digital art and part of a generation of artists who are redefining the boundaries of fine arts and popular culture. Having come of age during the information revolution, his work merges an appreciation for the plastic arts with an affinity for advanced computer technology. He began his artistic career with the manipulation of Polaroid SX-70 film in 1977 and has pursued the creation of new visual languages through the use of photography, videography, 3D renderings and collage using the Macintosh platform. His work, which can be viewed on his website Leibo.net, has been exhibited in a number of museums and galleries and has been included in the corporate collections of IBM, Philip Morris, Polaroid, and American Association for the Advancement of Science.

Clixtr Launches Location Based Photo Sharing Website

November 30th, 2009

San Francisco, California – Location-based photo sharing service Clixtr just launched the Clixtr web application. The Clixtr iPhone application launched at TechCrunch50 in September 2009 and is now free. The corresponding web service is now available to the public for the first time. A talented group of MIT and Stanford grads created the Clixtr platform which turns smartphones into smartcameras.

Clixtr allows users to create geo-tagged events and upload mobile photos. Using the iPhone GPS, Clixtr users create instant, location-aware, group photo albums. Clixtr users primarily add photos through the iPhone application, but the newly released website allows anyone to contribute. The real-time platform allows people to follow and contribute to events as they happen around the corner and around the world. Before, only iPhone users could view and participate in Clixtr events. Clixtr CEO Fergus Hurley says, “Not only can you use the Clixtr iPhone app to view and share real-time event photos, now you can invite people who don’t have an iPhone to view and contribute at Clixtr.”

Clixtr recognizes the implications of the convergence of devices, “We see people using the camera on their smartphone instead of their point-and-shoot camera,” says Hurley, “The mobile camera knows where you are, knows your friend’s contact details, and it is always with you.” Clixtr leverages these capabilities to create what they call, “the Ultimate Social Camera.”

Dedicated early users include the Stanford football coaches. Clixtr product manager and recent Stanford graduate, Fiona O’Donnell-McCarthy, gave beta invitations to players on the Stanford team. Players showed head coach Jim Harbaugh the Clixtr app and, “The next day I had an e-mail from Harbaugh asking if he could participate in the beta,” O’Donnell-McCarthy says. Since then, he and his coaching staff have been documenting their season in real-time from the sidelines, behind the scenes, and on the road.

Incorporated in 2008, Clixtr received seed funding from top-tier venture capital firm Draper Fisher Jurvetson in March 2009. Clixtr is based in San Francisco, California. The Clixtr iPhone app is available in the iPhone App Store and the newly released web service is available at Clixtr online.

Clixtr turns smartphones into smartcameras by leveraging location based technologies and the rapidly improving quality of camera phones. Clixtr users create events, upload mobile photos, and, for the first time ever, create real-time event photo streams with the users around them. Photos and events are public and can be followed live on the web or directly on mobile devices. By creating an instant, location-aware mobile photo sharing platform, Clixtr enables real-time event browsing by location or popularity. Users can follow and contribute to events as they happen around the corner and around the world. Clixtr is the ultimate social camera. Copyright (C) 2009 Clixtr. All Rights Reserved. 148Apps Unveils GiggleApps – A Parent’s Guide to the Best iPhone Apps

November 30th, 2009

San Francisco, CA – Today, 148Apps announces the launch of GiggleApps, a site providing iPhone application reviews of the best educational and entertaining apps for kids of all ages. Geared toward parents searching for the best kid-friendly apps, GiggleApps focuses on educational and entertaining applications ranging from toddlers to teens, but also includes apps for parents and users of all ages.

“148Apps and I created GiggleApps with a common goal to create a forum to help parents make educated decisions on which apps to download for their children,” said Kristen Young, editor and head writer of GiggleApps. “The site helps parents sort through the many apps designed for children, highlighting the best apps for education, entertainment, and expression.”

The inspiration for GiggleApps stems from the number of apps developed for children and the lack of information existing about which apps are successful educational tools. Young, an avid iPhone user and mother, saw the need firsthand for parents to be able to have a reliable resource for new educational tools and games.

The site provides guidance on using the iPhone or iPod Touch as an educational device. Both devices are expected to be popular holiday gifts this year, especially for kids. These devices are easy to understand with touch and accelerometer interaction which makes it a natural fit for children. The tools also come at a great price point for an educational device with limitless possibilities.

Free Instant PDF or MadeToPrint with Purchase of QuarkXPress 8 BOGO

November 30th, 2009

London, United Kingdom – XChange UK and ThePowerXChange, the sources for extended technology worldwide are pleased to announce a promotion which offers North American users a free Enfocus Instant PDF ($299 value) and UK/Ireland users a free MadeToPrint with Imposition (£318 value) with their purchase of QuarkXPress 8 as part of the Buy One QuarkXPress, Get One Free campaign. Users who purchase new copies of QuarkXPress 8 through either company not only receive the free QuarkXPress with their purchase, but also receive an additional free product through 31st December 2009.

“We wanted to give even greater value to our customers, especially with the economic situation and this makes it even more affordable to add the power of QuarkXPress 8, or additional copies to our customers’ installations,” offers Tami Stodghill, Press Relations Manager. “We work with our vendors to be able to provide the most value for our customers through these exclusive promotions. Not only can users take advantage of Quark’s Buy One Get One Free, they also get to add the power of Instant PDF or MadeToPrint and either product offers real value.”

Enfocus Instant PDF 08 makes producing press-ready PDFs easy for creative professionals. Using award-winning Enfocus Certified PDF(R) technology, it’s the simplest and most reliable way to create PDFs that comply with a print or advertisement vendors’ specifications. While working in their favourite creative application – Adobe(R) InDesign(R), Adobe(R) Illustrator(R), QuarkXPress(TM), Adobe(R) Acrobat(R) – users simply select “Save as Certified PDF…” from the File menu and let Instant PDF 08 take care of creating their PDF, preflighting it, modifying it where necessary, and even sending it to their print provider – all without leaving their application. Users can remain productive in their familiar environment without having to worry about print styles, PDF export or other complicated PDF creation settings. And if they do run into problems, Instant PDF 08’s comprehensive in-application help not only gives them the answers they need quickly, but also contains tips on how to avoid making the same mistakes again in the future.

For print providers, Instant PDF 08 significantly reduces the load on customer service and pre-press operators because Certified PDF files are always output correctly right at the designer’s workstation. With award-winning Enfocus Certified PDF(R) technology, the files are flagged as ready for output from the moment they arrive in an inbox.

MadeToPrint XT optimizes and extends output and print options in QuarkXPress and has been designed for professional users, who have to create, organize and control larger numbers of print-/output jobs. MadeToPrint XT helps to streamline these tasks as well as the creation of PDF, EPS and PostScript files. The XTension allows even complex print settings to be saved as repetitive jobs, thereby ensuring efficient and safe production.

MadeToPrint XT 8 provides features like batch processing, token-based file naming and flexible layer output that go beyond Quark’s output functionality. More than that, the XTension allows hotfolder based processing of XPress 8 files, thus enabling users to output QuarkXPress documents completely unattended. MadeToPrint XT’s latest version includes the new Imposition function, so users can print fully imposed PDF files from their QuarkXPress documents. Users can output fully imposed jobs, from booklets to N-up, choose between run list (e.g. 4 pages step & repeat) and imposition sheets (e.g. 2 pages A4 single sided). The preconfigured imposition schemes cover all common imposition configurations. Users simply activate the Imposition function and compile the required imposition scheme with the entries under the Runlist and Sheet configuration categories provided.

In addition, MadeToPrint XT allows for grouping of multiple print-job definitions into custom sets that can be invoked at any time to output the same document to multiple output devices, using the parameters specified for each device in its own print job. This means that with a single operation, a user can elect to have a document output to a black-and-white laser printer, a colour-proofing device, and a high-resolution imagesetter, and be assured that all settings in all dialogues are correct. Thus, MadeToPrint XT reduces media waste caused by improper settings of chooser selections, and allows for unattended output of QuarkXPress documents to any variety of formats.

The free Enfocus Instant PDF or Free MadeToPrint XT with purchase of QuarkXPress 8 – Buy One Get One Free promotion is available now through XChange UK and ThePowerXChange websites worldwide. Users who purchase upgrades to QuarkXPress 8 will also receive the free Instant PDF or MadeToPrint XT with their order, although upgrades don’t qualify for the QuarkXPress 8 Buy One Get One Free promotion. JL Software Announces Your High-Risk Pregnancy For iPhone and iPod touch

November 30th, 2009

Atlanta, Georgia – JL Software today announced Edition 1.0 of their all-new resource “Your High-Risk Pregnancy” for iPhone or iPod touch. Your High-Risk Pregnancy takes a unique approach to providing information to the pregnant woman. Instead of a text that is designed to be read cover-to-cover, this reference is designed to provide rapid, comprehensive, and understandable information about issues that may complicate pregnancy. In particular, it is designed to continue where the busy doctor leaves off.

Prenatal care today involves many screening tests for genetic disorders, tests of fetal anatomy and growth, and tests of fetal well-being. With so many standard tests, questions inevitably arise when results are ambiguous or hard to understand.

This is where Your High-Risk Pregnancy provides a complete description of the findings, a perspective on their significance, and reassurance in the majority of cases. Busy obstetricians often do not have time to fully explain the reasons for investigation of suspected pregnancy issues, or the results of those investigations. As a result, couples often face needless worry.

Your High-Risk Pregnancy covers:

* Medical conditions you have
* Past obstetrical history
* Past gynecologic history
* History of infertility
* Family history of genetic problems
* Factors identified early in the current pregnancy
* Factors that develop during pregnancy

Understanding screening in prenatal care:
* Screening for genetic diseases
* Screening for fetal anomalies
* Screening for gestational diabetes
* Screening for preeclampsia (toxemia)

Understanding findings that may arise and tests that may be ordered during pregnancy:
* “Abnormal” ultrasound findings
* Blood tests for Down syndrome risk – making sense of the results
* Dilation and effacement of the cervix and preterm labor
* Growth of the baby
* Infections
* The nonstress test and biophysical profile
* Ruptured membranes
* Group B Strep testing and treatment
* Decreased or increased amniotic fluid
* Hospitalization
* Early delivery of the baby
* Cesarean section

The following special sections provide a quick answer to the most common and most worrisome events:
* Your screening test for chromosomal anomalies such as Down syndrome comes back “screen positive.”
* Your ultrasound scan at 18-20 weeks shows minor “abnormal” findings.
* Your routine glucose challenge test taken at 24-28 weeks is elevated.
* Repeat ultrasound to check the baby’s growth shows less than expected growth.
* You have uterine contractions and suspected premature labor.
* You have some leakage of fluid from the vagina.
* You have vaginal spotting or bleeding.
* Your blood pressure is higher than expected.
* The baby shows a “less than reassuring” heart rate tracing on a nonstress test.
* Ultrasound shows increased or decreased amniotic fluid.

The Search page uses more than 4,100 keywords, enabling the user to quickly find all pages relevant to her search. Users can also easily bookmark any page for future quick reference. There is no limit on the number of bookmarks, double-bookmarking is automatically prevented, and bookmarks can be added or removed at any time. To retrieve a bookmarked page, the user simply chooses the Bookmarks icon and taps the desired page from the presented list. This is a handy way to save a list of topics to be discussed with the physician.

Copy and paste of any text in the Handbook is supported, so women can copy and email or copy and SMS-message any of the numerous protocol lists, medication options, ultrasound images, or differential diagnosis summaries. The more than 220 pages of Your High-Risk Pregnancy address the following topics, in an easily-understandable format and style:

Pregnancy and Coexisting Medical Conditions: diabetes mellitus, chronic hypertension, congenital and acquired cardiac conditions, thyroid disorders, gastrointestinal disorders, hepatic disorders, dermatologic disorders specific to pregnancy, collagen-vascular disease, systemic lupus erythematosus, antiphospholipid syndrome, hematologic disorders, breast cancer and pregnancy, renal disease in pregnancy, seizure disorders, carpal tunnel syndroms, bacterial and viral infections, spinal cord injuries, depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, and psychosis.

Common Omissions in Prenatal Care: screening for genetic defects, maternal obstetrical history, administration of magnesium sulfate, invasive diagnostic procedures, cause of low-birthweight infants, risk factors for congenital anomalies, signs of fetal compromise, distinguishing common pregnancy complaints from serious disease, and detecting early signs of preterm labor.

Fetal Medicine: symmetric and asymmetric intrauterine fetal growth restriction, detection of fetal anomalies by ultrasound, common chromosome anomalies, fetal hematologic disorders, red cell isoimmunization, neonatal alloimmune thrombocytopenia, alpha and beta thalassemia, sickle cell anemia, sickle S-C disease, sickle-thal carrier state, oligohydramnios, polyhydramnios, twin-twin transfusion syndrome, and congenital infections including rubella, cytomegalovirus, toxoplasmosis, group B beta-hemolytic streptococcus, parvovirus B19, Listeria monocytogenes, varicella (chicken pox), hepatitis A, B, C, and E, HIV and AIDS, and syphilis.

Mac-Chi Releases WhoPaste 4.0 – Lets in More Daylite and Goes Social

November 30th, 2009

Austin, Texas – Mac-Chi today announces a major update to their contact utility, WhoPaste. WhoPaste 4.0 strengthens its Daylite capabilities, introduces an innovative social network tool, supplies comprehensive AppleScript support, provides two new operating modes, and increases the flexibility of international addressing. WhoPaste, which is available only on Macintosh, can create contacts directly from spreadsheets or text for Apple’s Address Book, Marketcircle’s Daylite, Google’s Contacts, or Microsoft’s Entourage.

WhoPaste 4 adds support for Daylite’s ‘Extra’ contact fields. WhoPaste 4 is an increasingly effective tool for jump-starting the Daylite process. WhoPaste can designate a new contact’s category, priority, and tagline as well as an organization’s category, industry, region, tagline, and type. WhoPaste can also assign a list of keywords to both a contact and an organization and can now assign values to each of the sixteen customizable ‘Extra’ contact data fields.

WhoPaste 4 introduces an innovative 1-click tool for opening a multi-faceted view of a fellow web citizen. A WhoPaste user begins by just selecting a group of social network icons, as is now commonly found on blog entries or in email signatures. Once these icons have been selected, a control-click will open Snow Leopard’s Services context menu where the user can select the ‘WhoPaste’ service. The WhoPaste service will open a new Safari window with each of the selected sites displayed in its own tab. Select a few social badges, control-click… One window, many views. This exciting new feature of the WhoPaste service is always available and is completely independent of WhoPaste’s normal contact creation functionality. There is a 30-second screencast showcasing this new feature on the WhoPaste website.

WhoPaste 4 can also extract the urls for these social sites and include that information as part of a new contact record. WhoPaste 4 currently supports: Amazon WishLists, Facebook, Flickr, Last.fm, Linked In, generic RSS, Twitter, and YouTube; more sites will be added based on customer requests.

WhoPaste 4 introduces ‘Auto Save’ mode, which bypasses the normal WhoPaste review window and immediately saves the data. Select some text, control-click… You’re done! A new contact has been saved into your GMail Contacts or any of the other repositories. ‘Auto Save’ can be toggled on or off by selecting a menu item.

WhoPaste 4 also introduces ‘Vacuum’ mode, which allows WhoPaste users even wider latitude in collecting data. When ‘Vacuum’ mode is engaged, WhoPaste will only extract email addresses, web urls, phone numbers, and postal addresses. WhoPaste’s impressive drag and drop features make easy work of any manual extractions from the remaining data. ‘Vacuum’ can be toggled on or off by selecting a menu item.

WhoPaste 4 significantly extends its reach by introducing four AppleScript commands: newContactFromClipboard, newContactFromText, newContactFromFileContents, and newContactsFromFiles. Each of these commands takes full advantage of all the current WhoPaste settings and each includes parameters for setting both ‘Auto Save’ and ‘Vacuum’ mode. This new scripting support makes it possible to enlist WhoPaste as an automated front-end for Daylite or any of the other repositories. WhoPaste’s AppleScript support includes four pre-built Automator actions, each of which mirror one of the four new AppleScript commands. The Automator actions are yet another tool allowing WhoPaste users to create fast and accurate contacts.

Mac-Chi has augmented the existing ‘Appendix’ capability with a new ‘Prependix’ feature. The existing ‘Appendix’ capability allows users to extract contact data from text where WhoPaste would put all of the text that followed an ‘Appendix’ trigger into the Notes field. The new ‘Prependix’ feature puts all of the text preceding a ‘Prependix’ trigger into the Notes field and then extracts contact data from the remaining text. WhoPaste users can specify multiple triggers of either kind and the two trigger types can be used together.

Specifying a new country on the WhoPaste review window will now cause WhoPaste to re-evaluate the postal address information.

Mac-Chi has also enhanced post processing options. Both the ‘Write to Watched Folder’ and the ‘Execute Script’ options can now forego recording the contact to the selected repository. Both of these enhancements allow WhoPaste to better interact with enterprise systems or to drive alternate desktop databases like FileMaker.

The user interface to WhoPaste’s powerful preferences has been streamlined based on usability testing. Mac-Chi is relentless in its commitment to powerful elegant simplicity.

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, and 25 user licenses are now available. WhoPaste licenses, which are fully controlled by customer, may be relocated to new Macs at any time.

Minimum Requirements:
* Mac OS X Version 10.5 or later (Leopard & Snow Leopard Compatible)

WellAlright releases BandMate 1.5 for iPhone and iPod touch

November 30th, 2009

Austin, Texas – WellAlright today is proud to announce BandMate 1.5, their personalized live music calendar for iPhone and iPod touch. Designed specifically to take advantage of the iPhone’s unique capabilities and interface, BandMate recommends live music events based on the songs already on the user’s iPod.

With so many new bands playing on any given night, it’s difficult for concertgoers to pick out the show they’d like to see most, and often they find out too late about great shows they missed. BandMate evolved around the idea of helping music lovers find out what live events they might be missing. And with so many towns with great live music scenes, BandMate also serves as an essential travel planner – suggesting shows to catch while on the road.

Beyond simply alerting a music lover to live shows by their favorite bands, BandMate analyzes the music they already listen to and discovers new bands that the music fan would want to check out. It searches through event listings in the city of the user’s choice to create a personalized calendar of only the shows that they want to see. Each event even includes a probability score of how strong the recommendation is. BandMate also provides all the tools music fans need to find out more about artists, including links to schedules, videos, bios, music, along with easy ways to share any info with their friends via e-mail and Facebook.

Feature Highlights:
* Watch the band’s videos
* Listen to the artist’s music in iTunes
* View multiple pictures of each artist
* Read the band’s biography
* Browse the artist’s web site
* Launch the band’s Last.fm radio station
* Explore the other artists in the line-up
* Add artists not already on your iPod
* Import artists from iTunes playlists
* Share the event info via email and Facebook
* Keep track of favorite events
* Export favorites to a calendar
* Explore events in different cities

“I’m lucky enough to live in Austin, a fantastic city known for live music. So many incredible bands play here every night. And if you look hard enough, there’s always some artist you’ll want to check out,” said Rimas Remeza, owner and CTO of WellAlright. The tough part is, with so many shows simply poring over the local event listings might help you find a couple of bands you know, but it does little to help you find new bands that you may like. We definitely needed a better way for people to connect with new artists that they’d enjoy,” continued Remeza. “Being both a music fan and a geek, and seeing the possibility of combining both loves to do something that might help people enjoy their live music scene a bit more, I developed BandMate. Hopefully, it will lead to more folks discovering new music and more new fans out there supporting bands.”

Device Requirements:
* iPhone or iPod touch 3.0 or later

Pricing and Availability:
BandMate 1.5 is only $1.99 (USD) and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Music category. Promo Codes are available upon request.

Digital Heaven releases VideoSpace 3.0 Widget and Web App

November 30th, 2009

London, UK – Digital Heaven, one of the leading third party developers for Apple Pro Apps, today announced the release of VideoSpace 3.0, a new version of the popular freeware disk space calculator widget for Final Cut Express and Final Cut Pro editors. It is also possible to calculate in the other direction – by entering the available disk space, VideoSpace will display the corresponding footage duration for the current settings.

As well as a dashboard widget, VideoSpace is also available as a web application at VideoSpace Online for both desktop browsers and in a special version for the iPhone and iPod Touch. VideoSpace supports NTSC, PAL and HD formats and a wide variety of codecs including DV, DVCPRO50, DVCPROHD, HDV, XDCAM HD, ProRes and Uncompressed. Near Real Time Traffic and Weather Data from Traffic Info Map USA 1.2

November 30th, 2009

Waretown, NJ – Announcing that c0deart LLC, the developers of Traffic Info Map USA, has released the latest updated version of the application. The app is a portable traffic and weather report with near real time data for any zip code in the country. This helps users to avoid road closures, accidents, detours and other traffic related snafus on their travel route. With this newest version, the app does even more.

Traffic Info Map USA was designed to quickly deliver text-based traffic information. The app uses Yahoo! Traffic RSS feed API to retrieve traffic data for most metropolitan areas in the United States.

Regardless of traffic coverage, Traffic Info Map USA delivers real time reporting of a user’s speed, direction, altitude and co-ordinates.

* A ZIP Finder is implemented for any city name that you want access beside your current position
* You can access at Traffic and Weather report in the same area for a better analysis of your current conditions
* The map toolbar allows you to handle any map navigation faster than ever
* The landscape format of the map screen is optimized to visualize more information
* You can choose your starting mode screen (List or Map) in the Options menu
* Even if your traffic and weather data are not available at your current time and preferences, you can still use the app for your current position real time data (Altitude, Speed, Direction, Coordinates)
* XML Synch with Yahoo Traffic
* XML Sync with Yahoo Weather
* Embedded map (Mapkit Framework)
* Location awareness capability of OS 3.0 (Core Location Framework)
* iPhone / iPod OS 3.0 with an internet connection. Works fine even at Edge level

Mumbai, India – EDUmobile, the Mobile Training Lab behind the world’s most popular online iPhone Training Program with over 150 students in live training, has expanded its operations by hiring more tutors to help provide one-on-one live support to its growing base of students. In order to make the classes more affordable to a wider base of candidates, a 50% discount has been introduced for a limited time.

“We’re very pleased to see that our iPhone Development Training System has been received so well at a global level. Because we are located in India we are able to economically bring on board more Tutors who will provide immediate support to all our students, without them having to wait too long. We want to be able to continue to provide the same high level of support to all candidates as we have been doing in the past. The growth in the number of students undergoing training now requires us to bring more tutors on board. Our Live Tutor Support is very popular amongst candidates, along with our Online Videos, Training PDF Manuals and Weekly Worksheets.” says Sushant Das, one of the co-founders of the venture.

EDUmobile is currently offering the course at 50% discount for a very limited time. To avail of this offer, simply enter the coupon code LIMITED50 while enrolling. This is a limited time offer, will be taken down very shortly after 50 candidates sign up.

The iPhone Tutorial is delivered over a 12 week interactive training period, and comes with a 100% money back guarantee.
