Fishers, Indiana – Every year getting organized is one of the top New Year’s resolutions made. For some, that will mean cleaning out a closet, or straightening a garage. First up, we look at Listmaker, a general purpose list manager. Listmaker is has a clean, minimalist feel that keeps it easy to use. Each entry in Listmaker contains only a title, a note, and a due date. The nice thing about Listmaker, though, is that it can be used to hold more than just your To Do list.

Because you can create multiple lists (and even nested sublists), you can keep one list for your To Do items, another for your grocery list, and yet another for that checklist you use every time you pack for a business trip. Best of all, you can share entire lists with others. If you’re sending your husband out for groceries and you keep your shopping list in Listmaker, you can email the entire list to him, notes and all. For those that want to get a little more in depth with their personal organization, the Getting Things Done (GTD) system is a popular choice. If GTD is your preferred way to stay organized, then you may want to get a copy of Action Lists task manager for your iPhone. Action Lists helps you keep your project and context lists, as well as an Inbox where you can place quick notes until you can sort through them later.
