It is a small company that is in the web design and mobile game design industry, although it is focused in large part on its game design capabilities. Unicorn’s first innovative product is the ColorBuster application for the iPhone. The company was founded by Attila Z Jancsina (CEO). ColorBuster was a fairly successful game on Commodore 64, Commodore Amiga and PC. Sammamish, Washington – Juicy Bits today introduced Spy Pix for iPhone, a new app that makes it easy to hide and send secret messages. Spy Pix uses steganography, which comes from the Greek words steganos (“covered”) and graptos (“writing”), to hide one image inside of another decoy image. To casual viewers, only the decoy image is seen. However, for seasoned spies, the image can be decoded with Spy Pix to reveal a hidden message.

Spy Pix makes it easy to select an image to hide by taking a photo with the built-in iPhone camera or by choosing an image from the photo album. The same options are also used to select a decoy image. By dragging an on-screen slider, the two images are then blended together until the hidden image is no longer visible and only the decoy image remains. The encoded image can then be attached to an e-mail and sent to fellow spies.

On receipt of an encoded image, an on-screen slider is used to decode the image and reveal a secret message. Spy Pix can also guess the appropriate slider setting by touching a “Guess” button or by shaking the iPhone. The decoded image can then be saved to the photo album.

A badge feature enables users to include a 60 x 60 pixel icon in the lower-right corner of the encoded image. Spy Pix includes a built-in default badge, the option to choose a custom badge image from the photo album, or the badge can be eliminated completely for truly covert operation.

Spy Pix images are encoded as common Portable Network Graphics (PNG) files that can be stored and hosted anywhere that supports the PNG file format (web sites, blogs, Twitter, Photobucket, yFrog, etc.).
