NEW SIMPLE REMOTE IS AS EASY AS ONE, TWO, THREE…

– One For All launches new universal remote control that sets up in just three steps

One For All launches its new Simple 4 universal remote control to tackle consumer demand for easier set-up and interactivity with digital TV, set top box and other media devices.

Really easy to programme, One For All’s Simple 4 (URC 6440) can be set up to control up to four different devices with only a few button presses – usually in around 30 seconds – and retails at just £21.99.

The chip inside the Simple 4 already contains the codes for most a/v devices including all the main brands and One For All’s newly launched SimpleSet.com online tool will add new codes allowing future compatibility with new models.

No software or registration is needed for SimpleSet.com which has the codes for 6,000 brands and 300,000 models. It is compatible with both Mac and PC using Firefox, Google, Chrome, Safari and Internet Explorer. Just input the brand (no need for the model number) and a couple of key presses later the Simple 4 is programmed!

Automatic CombiControl allows the One For All Simple 4 remote to control all your equipment without switching between device modes. For example, press ‘watch TV’ and the keypad is pre-programmed to manage TV controls such as volume and mute – as well as satellite/cable commands like programme guide and info. Press ‘watch movie’ and the remote controls the DVD or Blu-ray functions plus the usual TV commands. Press the ‘off’ button and all the devices turn off simultaneously.

A fourth key means an extra device, such as a media centre, amplifier or iPod audio dock, can be added.

The One For All Simple 4 comes in fashion-trending white and silver. It’s backlit with proximity sensor activation so the keys glow amber as you get close to it, before you’ve even picked it up – handy when watching in subdued lighting! It’s also shockproof thanks to its rubberised surround and has a one thumb control island, incorporating the channel/volume keys, navigation keys and digital TV keys including info, guide and menu.

Simple 4’s direct copy function, which is fully customisable, can learn any function already programmed in your original remote.

Also new is the Simple 3, which comes in gloss black and has most of the functionality of the Simple 4, except the ability to add a fourth device – at the even more competitive price of £17.99. Additionally, there are Simple remotes to control just one or two devices.

The Simple range is available at Argos, Dixons, Maplin, Tesco, Sainsbury and www.amazon.co.uk
