Space Exploration Technologies Corp. on Thursday unveiled the cutting-edge spacecraft it hopes NASA will choose to start ferrying U.S. astronauts into orbit later this decade. The closely held Southern California company, known as SpaceX, showcased its Dragon V2 vehicle—a white, pear-shaped capsule with four deployable legs and giant touch screens inside—amid trappings more befitting the Silicon Valley introduction of a new tablet or smartphone than an aerospace product launch.
